Advantages of polyester TPU as cable sheath
1. Excellent mechanical properties
High tensile strength (30-50 MPa) and elongation at break (300-600%), suitable for dynamic bending scenarios (such as robot cables).
Shore A 85-95 hardness provides compression and cut protection while maintaining flexibility.
2. Environmental tolerance
The operating temperature (-40ºC to +125ºC) covers severe cold to high temperature environments, which is better than PVC (-20ºC~+80ºC).
UV and ozone resistance ensure long-term outdoor use without embrittlement.
3. Chemical protection
Outstanding corrosion resistance to mineral oils, fuels and non-polar solvents (such as diesel), suitable for automotive or chemical scenarios.
4. Wear and tear resistance
Taber abrasion value is less than 50 mg (CS-10 wheel/1kg load), which is better than rubber materials and extends the life of drag chain cables.
5. Environmental protection and processability
No plasticizer, Safe and non-toxic, supports extrusion molding process to improve production efficiency.
Compared with other materials:
PVC: low cost but poor temperature resistance and environmental protection, easy to become brittle at low temperature.
TPE: soft but insufficient mechanical strength, weak oil resistance.
Silicone: excellent high-temperature resistance (200ºC+), but poor tear resistance and high cost.
Recommended application scenarios:
High dynamic scenarios: industrial robots, drag chain cables (bending resistance of more than 100,000 times)
Harsh environments: offshore wind power, mining equipment (salt spray and oil pollution resistance)
Precision electronics: medical equipment, sensor cables (no plasticizer pollution)

One of the key steps is that we need to understand your requirements for specifications, such as what products are used to manufacture, whether there is a specification sheet for our reference, and other requirements.
