Why can TPR granules be used to make  rubber rings for vegetable ? 

The suitability of TPR (thermoplastic rubber) plastic pellets for use in the manufacture of rubber bands for vegetable bundling is based on several key properties:

1. Food safety:

The material is formulated without harmful plasticizers such as phthalates, avoiding the migration of chemicals to contaminate food.

2. Excellent mechanical properties:

High elasticity and flexibility: TPR's elongation at break can reach 300%-800%, which can withstand the repeated stretching of vegetable bundling without easy breakage.

Resistant to permanent deformation: It can still maintain its original shape after long time bundling, avoiding the vegetables falling apart due to relaxation (compression permanent deformation rate <40%).

3. Processing advantages:

Low-temperature processability: the melting temperature range is 160-200°C, which saves more than 30% energy compared with the traditional rubber vulcanization process.

High productivity: injection molding cycle can be shortened to 15-30 seconds/mold, suitable for mass production (daily output can reach the level of one million pieces).

4. Environmental adaptability:

Wide range of temperature resistance: -40℃ to 90℃ still maintains the performance, adapting to refrigerated transportation and room temperature shelf environment.

Humidity resistance: water absorption rate <0.5%, stable performance in vegetable cold chain environment (humidity >90%).

5. Economy:

Material density 0.9-1.1g/cm³, 20% lighter than natural rubber, cost per unit length reduced by about 15%.

Edge material can be 100% recycled, comprehensive material utilization rate of more than 98%.

6. Special function design:

Color coding can be achieved by adding food coloring (e.g. red for organic products), and the amount of masterbatch added is only 1%-2%.

Surface micro-texture can be customized (friction coefficient 0.3-0.6) to enhance the anti-slip performance of bundling.

Advantages  of tpr material over traditional materials:

Compared with natural rubber: no risk of protein sensitization, 5 times higher ozone aging resistance (outdoor service life extended to more than 2 years).

Compared with latex products: 40% lower energy consumption, and no need for vulcanization process, avoiding the production of nitrosamines and other by-products.
