Why polyester extrusionTPU can be used for industrial hose coating?
1. Excellent wear resistance
TPU has excellent wear resistance, and its Taber abrasion value is 0.35-0.5mg, which is the smallest among plastics. This feature allows TPU-coated industrial hoses to maintain their performance after long-term use and are not easy to wear.
2. High tensile strength and elongation
TPU's tensile strength is 2-3 times that of natural rubber and synthetic rubber. The tensile strength of polyester-type TPU is greater than 60Mpa, and the elongation can reach 410%. This high tensile strength and elongation makes TPU-coated hoses less likely to break when subjected to greater stress.
3. Good oil resistance
TPU's oil resistance is superior to that of nitrile rubber, and it has an excellent oil resistance life. This is especially important for industrial hoses that need to be used in oil environments.
4. Low temperature resistance, weather resistance and ozone resistance
TPU's weathering resistance is better than that of natural rubber and other synthetic rubbers, and its ozone and radiation resistance have special uses in the aerospace industry. This enables TPU-coated hoses to be used for a long time in various harsh environments.
5. Wide hardness range
TPU has a hardness range of 10A-80D, and has similar compression deformation characteristics below 15A. It remains elastic when the hardness is above 85A, which is a characteristic that other elastomers do not have, so TPU has high load support capacity and good suction and discharge effects.
6. Excellent processing performance
TPU can be processed by extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, calendering and other methods. It has good physical properties and stable processing performance, good transparency and high cost performance.
7. Environmental performance
TPU is an environmentally friendly material that does not contain reinforcing agents, is non-toxic and odorless, and is widely used in the food industry and other fields that require environmentally friendly materials.
