What is PP granules ?
Polypropylene (PP plastic) is another excellent resin variety developed after nylon, it is a high density, no side chain, high crystalline linear polymer, with excellent comprehensive properties. White translucent, waxy when uncolored: lighter than polyethylene. Transparency is also better than polyethylene, harder than polyethylene.

What is the PP+EPDM+20TD compound granules ?
PP+EPDM+TD20 is PP toughening and hardening modification. Generally speaking, TD20 refers to 20% talc powder enhancement, plus EPDM toughening and low temperature resistance. The base material PP is generally selected as a high melting copolymer, which has good toughness, rigidity and weather resistance, stable size and low shrinkage. This is typical car bumper material.
What other grade we can provide ?
1. Calcium carbonate filled reinforced PP------ to enhance the hardness and increase heat resistance.
2. Barium sulfate filled PP------ increase surface gloss, improve hardness.
3.Talc filled PP------ to improve the heat distortion temperature, increase the dimensional stability of the product, reduce molding shrinkage, improve rigidity.
What are the differences between homopolymerized pp and copolymerized pp in terms of production methods, properties and applications?
1. Different production methods:
Homopolymerized PP: polymerized from a single propylene monomer, the molecular chain does not contain ethylene monomer. The use of high-boiling straight-chain hydrocarbons as a solvent, operating at temperatures higher than the melting point of polypropylene, the resulting polymer is dissolved in the solvent is a homogeneous distribution of the polymer1.
Copolymerized PP: obtained by copolymerizing propylene monomer with a small amount of ethylene (1-4%) monomer under heat, pressure and catalyst. The solvent is removed by evaporation in a high temperature gas extraction method to obtain molten polypropylene, which is then extruded and pelletized to obtain pelletized products1.
2. Different performance:
Homopolymerized PP: has a high degree of crystallinity and melting point, so the material has good rigidity, but less impact resistance (more brittle). In addition, homopolymerized PP has poor dimensional stability, is susceptible to aging, and has poor long-term thermal stability .
Copolymer PP: Due to the addition of ethylene monomer, the crystallinity and melting point of the polymer are lowered, improving the material's performance in terms of impact, long-term hydrostatic pressure resistance, long-term heat and oxygen aging resistance, and pipe processing and molding. The molecular chain structure of copolymerized PP is more complex, so it has better flexibility and chemical resistance .
3. Different uses:
Homopolymer PP: Suitable for making packing tape, blowing bottles, brushes, ropes, woven bags, toys, folders, electrical appliances, household goods, microwave oven lunch boxes, storage boxes, packaging paper film and other products .
Copolymer PP: Suitable for making crates, bottles, paint buckets, large containers and heavy-duty packaging, etc. It can also be used to produce pipes, plates, battery shells, etc. .
