What is clear polycarbonate pellets?

PC particles, also known as PC (Polycarbonate, Polycarbonate) plastic particles, are high-molecular material particles made from polycarbonate as raw material through extrusion, granulation and other processes. It has excellent comprehensive performance and is one of the important varieties of engineering plastics, widely used in multiple fields.

What are the key properties of PC polycarbonate pellets ?

1. Mechanical Properties

High impact resistance: Impact strength is 250 times that of ordinary glass and 30 times that of acrylic sheets, maintaining toughness even in low-temperature environments (-40℃).
Rigidity and fatigue resistance: After reinforcement with glass fibers, the fatigue strength can be increased to 40-50 MPa, with excellent dimensional stability and low shrinkage.
2. Thermal and Weathering Properties

Wide temperature range (-40℃~160℃), with a long-term service temperature of up to 120℃; heat distortion temperature up to 135℃~180℃ (reinforced type).
Strong UV resistance, with an outdoor service life of more than 5 years, and not prone to yellowing or aging.
3. Optical and Electrical Properties

Transmittance of 88%~91% (optical grade), with haze adjustment function (light diffusion type).
Excellent insulation and outstanding arc resistance, suitable for electronic and electrical components.
4. Safety and Environmental Friendliness

Inherently flame retardant (oxygen index 25%), and can reach FR-V0 level by adding halogen-free flame retardants, meeting environmental requirements.

Application 

 Optical lighting: It is used to manufacture large lampshades, protective glass, eyepiece tubes for optical instruments, and transparent materials on aircraft (such as cockpit covers).
