What is abs granules?
ABS plastic is called acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene Copolymer (Acrylonitrile-butadiene-Styrene Copolymer), which is a raw material product synthesized from three chemical substances: Acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene .
What is The MFR of ABS ?
The Melt Flow Index (MFI) of injection molded ABS plastics is usually between 0.1 and 30 g/10min, depending on the application requirements and product specifications. The melt index is a measure of the fluidity of plastic melt, and for injection molding, a higher melt index means better fluidity, helping to fill complex mold structures.
General grade ABS plastic: suitable for all kinds of household appliances, computer housing, OA product housing, toys and other products. Although the melt index range is not clearly given, the melt index of general grade ABS is usually between 0.1 and 10 g/10min.
What are the features of pure virgin ABS granules ?
1. Physical characteristics
Combustion characteristics: Oxygen index of 18-20, flammable polymer, flame is yellow, black smoke, and emit a special odor
2. Mechanical property
With excellent mechanical properties, high tensile strength, impact resistance and hardness, ABS plastic products have better durability and bearing capacity. The impact strength is relatively high, the general material is almost 20, the high impact resistance can reach 40, and it also has a good performance under the condition of -30 ºC.
3. Other characteristics
Processing performance: good processing performance, general material 220ºC, 10kg melting finger 20 or so, 40 or 50, good injection molding, 10 or less melting finger also have, good extrusion; The molding temperature is 240-265 ºC, the temperature is too high, ABS will decompose, and the fluidity of PC material is too low.
Electroplating performance: Some grades of electroplating performance is bette .
Modification performance: easy modification, can be flame retardant, heat resistance, enhancement, alloy modification operations.
Electrical performance: Good electrical performance.
Water resistance: Water resistance is better, seawater resistance is also better.
Combination: Good combination with other materials, easy surface printing, coating and plating treatment.
