What is high molecular weight HDPE granules?
High molecular weight high-density polyethylene is a polyethylene polymer that is created using the gas-phase or slurry process at low temperatures (80 to 110°C) and low pressures (0.48 to 3.1 MPa) when high-efficiency catalysts of the Phillips or Ziegler types are present.  One of the newer types of polyethylene is high molecular weight high-density polyethylene, which has an average molecular weight between 200,000 and 500,000.  It falls into one of two categories: copolymers or homopolymers.  The acronym for high molecular weight high-density polyethylene is HMWHDPE.
Why HMWHDPE  granules or powder are good for making PEX pipe ?
Molecular structure advantages: High molecular weight HDPE has a long molecular chain and a high degree of crystallinity, providing a sufficient molecular chain segment entangling basis for crosslinking reactions. It can form a three-dimensional network structure through crosslinking agents such as peroxides, significantly enhancing the mechanical strength and heat resistance of the pipe

What are the advantages of HMWHDPE pipes over other pipes?
1. Difference with ordinary HDPE pipe: high molecular weight HDPE crosslinked pipe through chemical crosslinking to further enhance the heat resistance (working temperature up to 80 ℃ or more) and creep resistance, while the ordinary HDPE pipe temperature resistance is lower (usually ≤ 60 ℃)35. 
2. Comparison with metal pipe: light weight (only 1/8 of the steel pipe), easy to install and do not need anticorrosive treatment, and has recyclability, in line with the trend of environmental protection 2
What  need to know before  manufacturing products ?
 Adaptability of cross-linking process: High molecular weight HDPE can be cross-linked by peroxide cross-linking (PE-Xa) and other processes, and professional extrusion machines are needed to ensure stable pipe production.
Flexibility in molding process: It supports various molding methods such as extrusion and winding, especially suitable for manufacturing winding structural wall pipe, which has both high strength and lightweight characteristics, easy installation and excellent anti-leakage performance.
