What is high molecular weight HDPE granules?
High molecular weight high-density polyethylene is a polyethylene polymer that is created using the gas-phase or slurry process at low temperatures (80 to 110°C) and low pressures (0.48 to 3.1 MPa) when high-efficiency catalysts of the Phillips or Ziegler types are present.  One of the newer types of polyethylene is high molecular weight high-density polyethylene, which has an average molecular weight between 200,000 and 500,000.  It falls into one of two categories: copolymers or homopolymers.  The acronym for high molecular weight high-density polyethylene is HMWHDPE.
  What are the advantages of pipes made of HMWHDPE material?
1. low friction coefficient: HMWHDPE pipes have smooth inner wall and low friction coefficient, which helps to reduce the resistance during fluid transportation.
2. Low-temperature resistance: even in low-temperature environments, HMWHDPE pipes can maintain their mechanical properties and are not easy to rupture.
3. Long life: the durability of this material and its long service life reduces the frequency and cost of replacement and maintenance.

4. Convenient installation: the light weight of the winding structural wall pipe makes it easy to be transported and installed, especially in areas with complicated terrain.
5. Environmentally friendly: HMWHDPE material is recyclable and environmentally friendly.
6. Low resistance to water flow: Due to its structural design, the structural wall pipe has a large flow area, which reduces the resistance to water flow.
What to look for when manufacturing products ?
Because of the increased melt viscosity caused by the higher molecular weight, processing becomes more challenging.  Higher temperatures or pressures are needed.     However, products that satisfy various specifications can be generated by modifying the processing method, such as by utilizing the right catalysts and reactors.   
Use appropriate production equipment
The use of an efficient pipe extruder is the foundation for manufacturing high-molecular-weight HDPE pipes. This machine can provide sufficient output pressure (such as around 190 kilograms) and appropriate heating temperature (such as 240 degrees Celsius) to ensure the smooth output of the pipeline.
 
Control the processing temperature well
During the processing, it is necessary to strictly control the temperature of the pipes and molds. For instance, the temperature of the pipe should reach 340 to 350 degrees, and the mold also needs to be pre-treated to keep the pipe temperature from dropping. This can ensure that the temperature of the pipe is uniform during the heating process, which is conducive to flanging and forming.

What are the uses of HDPE pellets/high-density polyethylene powder ?
