Why to add carbon fiber to PBT resin?
The role of PBT reinforced with carbon fiber
PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance and thermal stability. However, traditionally PBT materials are insulating and do not have conductive properties. In order to meet the needs of some specific applications, conductive PBT materials have been developed, and one way is to add conductive fillers, such as carbon fibers, carbon black, and metal fibers, to the PBT base material. Improvement of electrical conductivity
By adding carbon fibers to PBT, its conductive properties can be significantly improved.
