What is the difference between hot melt adhesive TPU and adhesive TPU?
Form and usage
Hot melt adhesive TPU: usually in the form of hot melt adhesive film or hot melt adhesive particles. When used, it needs to be heated to melt it into a fluid state, which is convenient for coating on the surface of the adherend. After cooling, the adhesive layer condenses to achieve bonding.
Adhesive TPU: It is generally made by dissolving TPU resin in a solvent and is in liquid state. It can be directly coated or applied by spraying, printing, etc.
Performance characteristics
Hot melt adhesive TPU: It has good elasticity and excellent water washing resistance. There are three types: high temperature high elasticity, medium temperature elasticity and low temperature non-elasticity. Different types differ in color and elasticity. For example, the high temperature high elasticity type is transparent and has excellent elasticity; the low temperature type is white matte and has no elasticity.
Adhesive TPU: The ink paint made has excellent adhesion, high brightness, low viscosity, wrinkle resistance, good flex resistance, excellent wear resistance and other characteristics. It is also easily soluble in ketones and their composite solvents, and easily dispersed with pigments and fillers .
